Korangi

This temple has a history and was constructed over 200 years or more and renovated over a period of time. Coringa had faced two cyclones in the17 century and 18 century with the second biggest cyclone in the world history and this temple stood test of times. The place needs to be researched more.

మారిషస్ దేశంలో తెలుగు వారిని కోరంగిలంటారు.. అలాగే బర్మా (మయాన్మార్)లో కూడా తెలుగువారిని కోరంగీలుగానే పిలుస్తారు.. ఎందుకలా? శతాబ్దాలుగా కోస్తాంధ్ర తీరంలోని కోరంగి నుండి ఉభయ గోదావరి జిల్లాలు, విశాఖ, శ్రీకాకుళం తదితర జిల్లాల ప్రజలు వారు ఉపాధి చైనా, బర్మా, మలేషియా తదితర తూర్పు ఆసియా దేశాలకు, శ్రీలంక, మారిషస్, ఇతర ఆఫ్రికా దేశాలకు వలస వెళ్లారు.. అందుకే వారికి కోరంగీలనే పేరు వచ్చింది.. తూర్పు గోదావరి జిల్లాలో కాకినాడ సమీపంలో ఉన్న గ్రామమే కోరంగి.. అయితే ఇప్పుడున్న కోరంగి, ఒకనాటి కోరంగి వేరు.. కోరంగి ఒకప్పుడు అతి కీలకమైన ఓడ రేవు.. అంతే కాదు ఇక్కడి నౌకా నిర్మాణ పరిశ్రమకు ఎంతో పెద్ద చరిత్ర ఉంది. క్రీస్తు పూర్వం నుండే దీని ఆనవాళ్లు ఉన్నాయి.. ఈస్టిండియా కంపెనీ మన దేశానికి వచ్చిన తర్వాత కూడా కోరంగి నౌకాయాన పరిశ్రమ ప్రపంచంలోనే గొప్పదిగా పేరు తెచ్చకుంది.. లండన్ రేవులో లంగరు వేసిన కోరంగి మేడ్ నౌకలను చూసి బ్రిటిష్ వారికి కన్ను కుట్టింది.. నౌకా వ్యాపారంపై పట్టు సాధించిన బ్రిటిష్ వారు కోరంగి నౌకా పరిశ్రమను నిర్వీర్యం చేసేందుకు పన్నుల భారాన్ని మోపారు.. అయినా తట్టుకొని నిలబడింది ఇక్కడి పరిశ్రమ.. కోరంగి ఓడ రేవు అతి పెద్ద వ్యాపార కేంద్రంగా వర్దిల్లేది.. రెండు అతి పెద్ద తుఫానులు కోరంగిని కాలగర్భంలో కలిపేశాయి.. 1789, 1839 సంవత్సరాలు కోరంగికి మరణశాసనాలుగా మారాయి.. 1789 డిసెంబర్ మాసంలో వచ్చిన మహాతుఫాను ధాటికి కోరంగి అల్లకల్లోలం అయిపోయింది.. దాదాపు 20 వేల మంది మరణించారు.. ఇక్కడి ప్రజలు సర్వం కోల్పోయారు.. అయినా క్రమంగా కోలుకొని మళ్లీ నౌకా నిర్మాణ పరిశ్రమను కొనసాగించారు.. కానీ 1839లో నవంబర్ 25 తేదీ కోరంగి ఉనికి కాలగర్భంలో కలిపేసింది.. 40 అడుగుల ఎత్తున లేచిన మహా అలలు ఊరంతటినీ ఇసుక సమాధి చేసేసింది.. దాదాపు 3 లక్షల మంది ప్రాణాలు పోయాయి.. ఇళ్లూ, గిడ్డంగులు, నౌకా పరిశ్రమ మాయమైపోయాయి.. ప్రపంచ తుఫానుల చరిత్రలో మూడో అతిపెద్ద విషాదంగా నమోదైంది ఈ ఘటన.. అసలు cyclone అనే పదాన్ని ఇంగ్లీషు వారు ఈ విషాదం తర్వాతే ఉనికిలోకి తెచ్చారంటారు.. కోరంగి ఇప్పుడు లేదు.. ఆనాటి నౌకా పరిశ్రమ కూడా లేదు.. ఇసుక దిబ్బల కింద దాని చరిత్ర సమాధి అయిపోయింది.. ఈ మహా విషాదం జరిగి ఈ రోజుకు సరిగ్గా 175 సంవత్సరాలు..

hi dudes korangi is a small village from the 20th century and well known for the wild sanctuaries...but in 18 and 19th centuries it is the main source for the business in india...it has the natural dockyard from 15th century...15 to 20 tonnes weigh of ships were designed and repaired in the korangi town and those manufactured ships were exported to the different places in the world...it is the town full of joy happiness prosperity.......but this happiness is upto 1759 only..... due to the laaaaaaaaaaaaaaarge cyclone in 1759 the town get ruined and collapsed due to the sea water from oneside and Godavari river from another side...it is the big disaster for the wealthy korangi...even after that nasty disaster, again the business was started,but due to the british emperors and the selfish foreign emporeors the business was collapsed mainly due to the pertaining high tax problems on the Indians heads...so the history of korangi is a legend in prosperty wealth business but nowwwwww it is the village with past disaster...
